Frequently Asked Questions

Is AFM suitable for petrol and diesel engines?

Yes. AFM is suitable for both petrol and diesel marine engines.

Can I use AFM in outboard and inboard engines?

Absolutely. AFM is compatible with both outboard and inboard marine engines.

How do I use AFM?

Simply squeeze the bottle to fill the built-in measuring chamber with the recommended dosage, pour the measured amount directly into your fuel tank, then refuel as normal. Adding AFM before refuelling allows it to mix thoroughly with your fuel.

For everyday use, we recommend a maintenance dosage of 25 mL per 100 litres of fuel (1:4000 ratio).

If you're using AFM for the first time or treating a fuel system that may contain deposits or water contamination, use an initial dosage of 50 mL per 100 litres of fuel (1:2000 ratio) for the first 3–4 tanks, then continue with the maintenance dosage.

Quick Guide

  • 50 L Fuel → 25 mL (Initial) | 12.5 mL (Maintenance)
  • 100 L Fuel → 50 mL (Initial) | 25 mL (Maintenance)
  • 200 L Fuel → 100 mL (Initial) | 50 mL (Maintenance)
  • 500 L Fuel → 250 mL (Initial) | 125 mL (Maintenance)

Each AFM bottle features a built-in measuring chamber, making it quick and easy to measure the correct amount every time.

How often should I use AFM?

For the best long-term results, we recommend using AFM every time you refuel.

Can I use too much AFM?

AFM is formulated to work at the recommended dosage. Using more than the recommended amount won't necessarily provide additional benefits.

Can AFM be used with other fuel additives?

For optimal performance, we recommend using AFM on its own.

How does AFM improve fuel efficiency?

AFM conditions your fuel before combustion by helping disperse water, supporting cleaner injectors and promoting more efficient combustion. This helps your engine get more from every litre of fuel.

Does AFM remove water from fuel?

AFM helps disperse water throughout the fuel, supporting cleaner combustion and reducing the impact of moisture within the fuel system.

Will AFM void my engine warranty?

No. AFM is a fuel conditioner designed to support fuel quality and combustion efficiency without altering the fuel's key characteristics or requiring any engine modifications.

When used as directed, AFM does not change the fuel's specification and is designed to be compatible with modern petrol and diesel marine engines.
